HELLO

My name is Jill, and I'm an artist living a messy, creative life near the forest.
In my youth, backpacking taught me something about the complexity of the world, and the surprising kindness of humans. This is what informs my work - I try to convey something of the hope and joy that is out there.

It seems to me that we can't do much about the big issues in the world, but we do each have a small sphere of influence. I try to make my own sphere a little brighter by bringing attention to the beauty of daily life.

I work from a little mossy log cabin studio in my garden, where I earn my living by preparing art lessons, and by making art pieces for sale in my Etsy shop.
I also make other pieces in clay, paint or fabric just for the love of it, and exhibit these. Right now, I am working on my fifth solo exhibition.
